Quan Bui, Co-Founder of CMMedia, joins the latest series of affiliate interviews on Affiliate Grand Slam
Quan Bui and the rest of the team of CasinoMentor, CMMedia, believe that the customer is first and they value the customers’ experience. Quan Bui says that accuracy and truthfulness is what make them who they are today. Moreover, CasinoMentor is now going global – follow his story below.
How did CasinoMentor take off? What was its purpose?
Frankly, the idea of CasinoMentor has been on our minds for a long time. We want to create a playground that meets the needs of all gamblers around the world, where people get the most objective view of online casinos and their products. In other words, we want to lead the way for newcomers who are still inexperienced.
Tell us a bit more about your business model, concept, and culture.
“Customer first.” It seems nothing too special, but that’s how we are. We value the customers’ experience, hence everything we have built is regularly checked and tested, ensuring that there should be no difficulty for our readers on and off-page.
What incremental value will you provide? What helps make your performance successful?
There are many things to look out for as an affiliate marketeer, but honesty is the most critical aspect. You can’t tell lies to your readers nor introduce them to low-quality products; that’s like hitting yourself in the face. Accuracy and truthfulness are what make us who we are today.
What importance do you give to responsible gaming?
Responsible gaming is concerned with the protection of vulnerable players. It unites golden measures by the gambling industry to protect players from potential negative consequences from online gambling. CasinoMentor strictly complies with the highest standards and principles of responsible gaming, ensuring a safe user experience.
How is your company structured, and what aspect of business development are you currently focused on?
CasinoMentor is established initially as a one-stop shop to help players make a better casino choice. As an affiliate partner, we offer not only trusted and unbiased casino reviews but also lots of casino games and other gambling segments like casino bonuses, gambling guides, etc., in one place. We refuse to work and promote atrocious operators to give our valued players the best possible gambling experience.
Which markets are you targeting and why? Do you see any potential in the emerging markets?
Actually, CasinoMentor is going global. We open up a friendly and accessible platform for players from every corner of the world. So no matter where you are residing, you will always find the best choices tailored to your location.
We believe that everything works well. With our dedicated work and effort, we are firmly convinced that players worldwide will highly appreciate what we have to offer.
Do you create all the marketing material you need to promote in-house, or do you out-source it?
All reviews or guides on our site are provided by our experts. Of course, we get help from various sources, but they are for reference only. The main deciding factor is our own experience and judgment when playing at online casinos.
How important is social media activity for your affiliate business? How difficult is it with Google’s constant updates?
With the development of information technology as it is today, it would be a mistake to ignore the social media factor. With that in mind, we are always looking for ways to refresh ourselves and promote our website through popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, etc. However, so far, we have also encountered many failures due to Google’s constant updates. Every time a major update comes out, we have to review what we’re managing, make changes and modifications accordingly. It’s annoying, but it’s a must-do to thrive in today’s SEO world.
Which qualities and skills are essential in an affiliate team/business?
As we just said, we value honesty and accuracy at all times. That’s why CasinoMentor is always looking for people who understand and appreciate these qualities of an affiliate marketeer. “It’s the attitude that counts” – our motto speaks for itself.
How does technology play a part in your day-to-day life?
Without technology, we will be left behind. Technology helps us stay on par with many formidable competitors in the respective field. Thanks to these ever-growing tools, we get informed about players’ tendencies, get access to new online casinos and their updates more quickly, and measure our performance so that we can make progress and improvement. CasinoMentor team’s effort is the biggest motion behind, though.
What is your approach in the initial stages of a new partnership?
When starting a partnership, the first thing we will do is provide information about us to the other party, as well as learn more about them, or in other words, “exchanging information.” After learning about the partner, the real business begins: exchange of requirements, negotiation, agreement of mutual interests, and so on. We firmly believe that this process is prevalent nowadays, as it helps to ensure safety for both parties and strengthens the partnership before it actually starts.
Have you ever been to SiGMA? SiGMA Europe, Africa, Asia, or Americas – which of these four expo shows would you likely book on your diary for 2021, COVID-19 permitting?
Unfortunately, I haven’t been yet. However, if the condition allows, I want to attend SiGMA Asia, as it is close to our current location and SiGMA Europe, of course, hopefully.
Tell us a bit about yourself – after all, business is done with people, not just companies! Your hobbies, favorite book, favorite quote, whether you are into Gaming yourself, etc.
Well, I love reading books during my days off, especially marketing readings like Epic Content Marketing by Joe Pulizzi or Top of Mind by John Hall. I also enjoy surfing SEO forums and blogs just to catch on the updates in SEO. Moz and Search Engine Land are two of my recommendations – give them a try!
